We believe …
caring skills are as critical as clinical skills.
We’re seeking.
I believe that caring consciousness is required for what we do.
I’m assuming that you believe this also?
And you’re not sure what this specifically means and you want more information on what this looks like?
You definitely know that you want and need more Authentic Caring in your work.
Nursing is vast in its levels and possibilities, and that contributes to our confusion in this journey.
I continue to be confused by nursing and continue to seek.
I have come to accept that I will always be …
Seeking the greater lessons of nursing.
I am currently participating in Jean Watson’s Caritas Coach Education Program (CCEP) through Watson’s Caring Science Institute. It’s a six-month program.
Like me, these nurses are seeking.
We know that many nurses are; each of us in different ways.
We can and do learn from each other.I am a month into the program and have already learned much from the other participants through their nursing stories and learnings.
These statements from them are just a few that draw me forward:
- “…. to know the road ahead, ask those coming back.”
- “Offering our patients and families the deeper healing gifts we carry within is what I refer to as ‘state of the heart’ care.”
- “We discover that every road leads back to the heart.”
You are not alone. We are not alone.
